Tall Women's Winter Clothes - Planning For the Winter Months

If you're a taller than average lady looking for suitable clothing for the arrival of winter, you'll be happy to know that all the leading suppliers have a great range of clothing and accessories, and the Internet is a goldmine for tall women's winter clothes in a broad range of sizes.

While many lament the arrival of winter - with the major bugbear being that your trousers get all soggy at the end - there are many who yelp in joy when the cold, snowy weather arrives.

Not only is the winter quite a special time, offering the opportunity for romantic midnight walks with feet crunching on the fresh snow or the chance to catch up with family over the Christmas period - it is also a blessing for snow sport fans.

And nowhere is the need for stylish, but functional, winter clothing more important than when hitting the slopes to undertake a spot of skiing or snowboarding.

As with all extreme sports, fashion attire is a huge part of the experience. Want proof? Just look at the madcap outfits worn by the majority of young skiers and boarders.

Designs are typically weird and wacky, from all-in-one body suits in bright colours to patterned jackets and bizarre furry hats.

And these zany styles are evident across the hills whether you're up Glenshee in Scotland or Breckenridge in the States - they are simply part of the sport.

As said earlier, what many don't like about winter is feeling the cold and the unpleasantness of getting soaked in the rain or snow.

Some simple clothing tips can make the winter months a bit more bearable, however. For example, while you may think that a thick knitted cardigan may be the perfect choice for the winter months, the opposite can be true.

Thick, woolen garments take a long time to dry if you get caught in the rain and they can also be suffocatingly warm if you enter a heated building like an office or shopping mall.

The solution is to wear layers - such as a t-shirt, thin jumper and a fleece - so you can remove items of clothing if you get too hot or if you get caught in a rain shower.

Likewise, ensure your trousers and jeans are a good fit - it may be fine in the summer to wear a loose style, but come the winter they'll quickly end up soaked. Similarly, a sturdy pair of boots is essential for the winter months if you don't want your feet to get cold.

With these tips in mind, anybody should be able to enjoy the winter months in warmth and comfort.

Weird Ideas To Make Money From Home

Have you ever wanting to make money from home but have just not come up with any good ideas yet? The problem that most people have when it comes to making money from home is they don't have any good ideas but that is all about to change because I am going to give you some weird ideas to make money from home that many people have not thought of but would be a great idea to start.

If you spend a while online you will see a lot of weird ideas that many people have come up with and tried but the problem with a lot of these ideas is they don't always work. I have spent a lot of time trying to come up with some good ideas to make money that are out of the ordinary but are not so far out of the box that they won't work. If you want some weird ideas to make money from home then take a look at what I have come up with that will work for you.

Mobile Laundry mat - Something that a lot of people have to do is take their clothes to a laundry mat simply because there is not washer or dryer in their apartment and if you have people like this in your area then you can take advantage of it. This idea does take some money to get started but all you have to do is get a washer, dryer, and a generator that you can use and you are good to go. The nice part about this is you will be able to gain clients and then you will know where to go every so often for more clothes to wash.

24 hour translator - One of the things that I noticed when I traveled to Mexico is that a lot of tourists don't speak any Spanish and the problem is most people don't there don't speak much English. If you know both English and Spanish you can get a Unlimited Minute phone such as the Straight Talk from Walmart and use that number as a 24 hour hotline for people to use you for translation. All you will need in order to do this is a paypal account and the phone. What you will do to get started is get a few travel agents to mention your name and number because the one thing tourists hate is to be in a place where they simply can't communicate at all.
If you think these ideas are not quite for you then I have included some more ideas to make money right here.

Discourage a Boy From Wearing Girls' Clothes

You have a dilemma on your hands. You are the parent of a son but he wants to wear outfits that belong to the opposite gender. What a shame! You will learn what to tell a little boy who wants to wear girls' clothes.

You should let him know how he will probably look. For instance, it would be to his benefit to say, "You will look weird if you go around wearing female clothing. I have raised you to take pride in your personal appearance."

You should let him know he will be stigmatized and be subjected to being called unflattering names. You should tell him, "If you ever dress like a girl, you will be called a sissy."

It is important to inform him his social life is on the line. He needs to be made aware that he will have a hard time keeping his friends and making new ones if he does not stick to dressing up like a boy.

You must let him know he has a lot to lose. You should tell him he is likely to lose his sense of dignity and self-respect and lose the respect of others.

It is your obligation to inform him he will put his personal safety at risk. It would be a good idea to tell him, "If you dress up like a girl, you might be attacked."

You should point out the ridicule he will surely bring on himself. Please say, "You will embarrass yourself and others and become the laughingstock of the region."

It is vital to let him know how his manhood is at stake. You can tell him, "It is not manly to do this; additionally, you will probably be thought of as a girl."

You should remind him of who he is. You should tell him he is a real man and he will sacrifice his identity by not dressing accordingly. Tell him it is against social norms for people to wear something that belongs to the opposite gender.

Use these ideas to discourage a boy from wearing a girl's clothes!

Are Kids Clothing Stores a Rip-Off?

Take a trip to the local mall and walk into any store that is specifically designed for kids. The store will be fun and bright and inviting to children, making them drag their parents right on in. Until, you are faced with the high prices. Retail stores know that by manipulating the kids, they can manipulate those dollars right out of your wallet. Most kids clothing stores that you find in any big mall are a huge rip-off.

In many cases, the clothes are certainly of the highest quality - there is no doubt about that. But, is there any logic in selling a tiny pair of pants at a price that is double what you would pay for your own? How can a piece of clothing with that little fabric cost so much? Especially in the very high-end designer kids clothing stores, you will pay some crazy prices for even the most basic items like underwear and socks.

Well, you can beat them at their own game. Your kids don't need to go into those stores to know what is in fashion. All they need to do is look at the kids around them at school. You might not think the clothes are cool or fashionable, but what is important is that your kid doesn't stand out as the odd-ball kid in the weird clothes. By letting your child pick his or her own clothes (within reason, of course), you will have a happier kid.

One way to do this is by shopping at some of the online kids clothing stores that are popping up. You might be surprised at some of the prices that you can find. Often times, the clothes are imperfects, knock-offs, or just a year or so out of style, but the prices are affordable and your kids will love the clothes.

Friedrich Gray 07 fashion show

transparent silk adds tension to this alluring piece but dont be distracted by the obvious
as a garment it's simple elegant cut, colour and drop all contribute to a mature sophisticated piece
that embodies femininity and fragility, it must feel great too

To finish off  an edgy intelligent grungy garment which looks like 1 piece of cloth draped and pleasantly wraped around the body gathered in by a fine belt, what delightful simplicty juxtaposed with such in grunge.

Art in fashion is booming

It’s amazing how art has crept into the world of fashion. I’m so glad it has, because the fusion of art in fashion has made me want to be a part of it.

Springleap.com embraces art in an unconventional way and t-shirt competitions are becoming a worldwide trend! By now you know the benefits of a website like Springleap.com are endless and it’s awesome that opportunities for designers are becoming so well known.

The topic of innovative art in fashion has got me really excited of late, because I keep coming across the most weird and wonderful artwork. Japanese artist Fumie Sasabuchi is no exception…

Although her art sways from physical design on t-shirts and other apparel it carries a deeper message that ties in with art and fashion very mysteriously. Her work is pushing the ‘art in fashion’ envelope by giving it a totally different meaning.

Fumie re-works fashion photography from magazines into a scene of death. The fashion zombies she creates explores the boundaries of what is accepted in fashion in terms of typical Western culture by exploiting the flexibility of art in fashion.

What is gorgeous on the surface wouldn’t exist if it wasn’t for the beauty of anatomy. She shows us underlying beauty and fiddles with the concept of death. It’s creepy, but wonderful art! See more of her art in fashion at Artnet.com

Lady GaGa’s New Nerd Hairstyle

Lady GaGa is one such chic in Hollywood who knows how to gain attention. Seriously, no matter how weird is she with her style but still she manages to create something new and weird for the fashion freaks. If I talk of nerd fashion then this new hairstyle of the singer should top the list. She wore a nude color strange outfit with a white blazer and maroon high heel sandals. But the hairstyle shocked the crowd there. It was that the singers here were in purple and blond shade in the style of a beehive.

Busty Virgin Marys Cause Outrage in Chile

SANTIAGO – A prominent fashion designer has sparked outrage in Chile by dressing up models like the Virgin Mary — in some cases with ample, near-naked breasts.

The Roman Catholic Church condemned Ricardo Oyarzun’s plans for a show featuring the models, and a conservative group tried unsuccessfully to block it in court.

Oyarzun said he had received telephone threats and had excrement smeared on his doorstep.
“There is no pornography here, there’s no sex, there are no virgins menstruating or feeling each other up,” Oyarzun said ahead of the catwalk show set to be held at a Santiago nightclub later on Thursday. “This is artistic expression.”

He said his designs — which include halos, look as though they come from a nativity scene and include religious icons — were inspired by the Virgin Mary but not intended to represent her.

“We look on with special pain and deplore those acts which seek to tarnish manifestations of sincere love toward the Virgin Mary, which end up striking at the dignity of womankind by presenting her as an object of consumption,” Chile’s Episcopal Conference, which includes Catholic bishops, said in a statement.
The show is more evidence that Chile, heavily influenced by the church for decades, is shaking off its reputation as one of the most socially conservative countries in Latin America.

Weird Beauty

Fashion Photography Now at the International Center of Photography

Images by more than forty of the most innovative photographers working in the fashion industry today will be on view in Weird Beauty: Fashion Photography Now, at the International Center of Photography from January 16 through May 3, 2009. To highlight the original context of these photographs, this exhibition will feature hundreds of tear sheets, along with approximately twenty original photographic prints, and online media. The inclusion of such a variety of presentational formats will serve to illustrate the diversity that is characteristic of current fashion imagery.

Although the ultimate purpose of the fashion photograph is to promote high-end style and beauty products, the resulting works often emerge as some of the most imaginative and multifaceted images currently being produced. Assisted by a team of stylists and editors, the photographer carefully selects the components of each story—often drawing on influences from art history, literature, digital media, youth culture, history, and current events. Evidence of these sources can be seen in local and international publications alike, adjusted to relate to the specific location, age, or gender of the target audience.Weird Beauty will present photographs derived from both widely recognized and lesser known magazines, including: 10 (UK), Another (UK), Doingbird (AU), Kid’s Wear (DE), New York Times T Magazine (US), Numéro (FR), Pop (UK), Purple Fashion (FR), V (US), Vogue (FR/IT/US), W (US), and others.
